Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative
The Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative is a network of educators, agencies, early childhood professionals, community leaders, and parents invested in quality early childhood and family programming, services, and supports. Our vision for our community is that all children are born healthy; are developmentally on track; ready to succeed at the time of school entry; and reading proficiently by third grade.
In order to achieve these goals, we meet quarterly and members also select one of four workgroups to be actively engaged in achieving our vision. Our four workgroups are; Physical Health, Social-Emotional Health/CAN council, School Readiness, and Literacy.
To help drive our work, we offer quality family programming that is parent driven and inspired through the Great Start Parent Coalition. Check out the GSPC on facebook or contact us to find out about family fun nights and other activities!
