Annual Education Report

Resource

The Annual Education Report (AER) is a state-required document that provides families and community members with a transparent look at how MARESA programs are performing.

What Is the Annual Education Report?

Michigan law requires all public school districts and intermediate school districts to publish an Annual Education Report each year. The AER summarizes student achievement data, program participation, and progress toward improvement goals. It is designed to give stakeholders clear, accessible information about educational outcomes.

What the Report Measures

The AER includes information on student proficiency in core academic areas, participation in state assessments, graduation and attendance data for programs operated by the ISD, and progress on school improvement plan goals. For MARESA, this includes data from our center-based special education programs and other direct-service initiatives.

Where to Find the Report

MARESA's most recent Annual Education Report is available for download below. Additional performance data for Michigan schools and ISDs can be found on the MI School Data portal.
