Marquette-Alger RESA is committed to continuous improvement in the programs and services we provide to local districts and students across the region.
What Is a School Improvement Plan?
A school improvement plan is a strategic document that outlines measurable goals, evidence-based strategies, and action steps designed to improve student achievement and organizational effectiveness. Michigan requires all public educational entities, including intermediate school districts, to maintain a current improvement plan as part of their accountability framework.
Accreditation and Continuous Improvement
MARESA participates in the Michigan Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP), the state's framework for developing improvement plans grounded in data analysis and stakeholder input. Our plan is reviewed and updated annually to reflect current needs, progress toward goals, and emerging priorities across the Marquette and Alger county service area.
Supporting Our Local Districts
MARESA works collaboratively with all 13 constituent districts to align improvement efforts, share best practices, and provide technical assistance in school improvement planning. Our team offers guidance on data analysis, goal setting, and strategy implementation to strengthen outcomes for students across the region.
