About Superior Shores

Superior Shores is an educational placement determined through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. The program has a strong emphasis on mental health treatment, serving students who experience significant mental and behavioral health needs that interfere with their ability to succeed in a typical school environment.

Eligible students are ages 12–18, must have an IEP, and experience significant mental and behavioral health needs. Students continue to work toward their academic competencies while also receiving therapy and psychiatric services to address their mental and behavioral health needs.
