Early Childhood Substitute Teaching

The two full days of substitute training take place on Tuesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 15th at Marquette Alger RESA

  • You must commit to subbing a minimum of 10 days to participate in this two day event.
  • Your time will be paid with a stipend. 
  • All requirements (TB test, Fingerprinting/ Background Check, CPR/First Aid) will be covered to allow you to be a paid substitute in our local early childhood programs.
  • Passing of the Federal Fingerprinting Background Check is required to be a substitute in early childhood programs.

Looking for ways to give back to your community with flexibility  and earn a paycheck?  Become a Substitute Teacher in an Early Childhood Program! MARQUETTE & ALGER SUBSTITUTE POOL  Are you at least 18 years old?  Are you interested in working with young children under the age of five? Do you have a minimum of 10 days to work throughout the school year? Join us for two full days of training and preparation to meet state requirements on  Tuesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 15th  at Marquette Alger RESA from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. lunch will be provided These two days include a stipend for your time and paid requirements  (TB testing, Fingerprinting, and training hours) .
