Strategic planning is a process in which an organization defines their mission, vision and values and seeks input from many stakeholder groups to collaboratively identify and prioritize goals and objectives that support continuous improvement. The process incorporates understanding past successes and challenges, a critical look at the present, and targets desired outcomes for the future. The result leads to a dynamic blueprint that defines how the organization can work to enhance and improve its services and reach its vision.
Marquette-Alger RESA launched its Strategic Plan for 2026–2029, setting the priorities and goals that will guide our work with students, educators, families, and districts across Marquette and Alger counties.
The plan was approved by the Marquette-Alger RESA Board of Education on March 23, 2026. It sets five strategic goals — Student Success and Readiness; Integrated Support Systems and Wellbeing; Strategic Partnerships and Community Impact; Advocacy, Influence, and Resource Mobilization; and Operational Excellence and Talent Development — and a brief annual progress report will be shared each year.
